Warrior-Triangle Series Yoga Asana
(Intensity Level: Medium Vigour, Warming Practice)
Strength comes in many forms, not just physical. The strength of being a warrior in many teachings is to be a compassionate heart, for the self so it can extend out to others. Triangles are considered one of the strongest sacred shapes in many traditions, able to bear weight and also balance ascending and descending energies from earth and sky and cosmic masculine and cosmic feminine energies. In this session we find strength and nourishment in the vulnerability of opening hearts “from earth to sky and sky to earth”, releasing what needs releasing and making more room for abundance.
Note: the beginning mantra was chanted in an unconventional order however the meaning and intent is the same as traditionally noted. The conventional/traditional order of the lines are:
Om Saha Nau-Avatu |
Saha Nau Bhunaktu |
Saha Viiryam Karavaavahai |
Tejasvi Nau-Adhiitam-Astu Maa Vidvissaavahai |
Om Shaantih Shaantih Shaantih ||
